I go to xhamster searching for simply tits pictures. And it fucking doesn't work.

When I want to watch some specific parts I have to go on the street and ask for it. Only then they give.

OVerall offline gives me better impression.

I'm 80% offline since a year or so and it only gets better.

I plan to mix offline and online.

1. meet businessman in person
2. sell them product that works online for $50k a month

win

solutions

go back to radio
collections of cd/dvd
well done AI for search

You really can't get distracted with cd/dvd...

yeah, I just spent like an hour on ig right now, literally wasted time and I will have to do some stuff tomorrow, so yeah, a lot of trash content and little things that keep you there wasting more and more time :/ now I feel really guilty for that hour that went to the drain.

I imagine that... 99% of content people don't even watch and it's all empty views.

Man if there is a study that confirms that, I'll drop off my chair.

I noticed that on average I would click off 20 videos before reaching one of interest.

Anything that I click on homepage, I immediately click off. And I'm like "fuuuck". I get some intense boredom sensation.

Well, everyone is looking for a "quick way to easy money" on the internet. It's not the fault of the platforms, social media or search engines or whatever.
It's us, humans, who have these low standards.
Because "quick and easy" implies low effort and that automatically translates to low quality. However, low quality is not something new or uncommon, it's just that internet has become the magnifying glass that shows all the imperfections from the face of humanity.
So, drowning in content is the same as no content, you only have to filter what you want. The high quality stuff is still there, before the internet it was hard to find because it was less accessible, now it's still hard to find because you have to filter more.

Anyways, if you are a content creator and have high quality stuff to show, people will find you and you will find success. Just put in the effort.
In my country, there is one guy speaking about history of the country. He literally speaks about well known facts (history lol), but adding some spicy details and using modern language. He started 2-3 years ago, his videos are interview style, two guys at the table where he speaks a lot. Videos are 2-3 hours long each and there are hundreds of videos out there. Each video has more than 100k views.
I would never thought about history to be so engaging in this world of internet and yet there is this guy who put in the effort and showed up with high quality stuff who proves me wrong.

Who is "They"? Algorithms in general find what the average people want. Just that, average stuff for average people.
Mark this quote here: "Be above average".

I read about hyper targeted recommendations. Nothing like that happens.

No musician, director, actor, philosopher is ever going to be big again.

They will and they are. It's just harder now.
