Hi guys, so I've recently switched the content on a wordpress blog of mine to a different niche with different content whilst moving what was previously on the blog.

It's taking a while for Google to recognise the new content on the blog in search results.

Are there ways I can speed up Google recognising the new content?

best way to rank new pages is to use the Crawler Feature in GWT.. Try It

Start posting on niche wise websites like forum.Help people to know about your site.
 
Run your URL's through express indexer, they'll get the spiders crawling your site in no time

It shouldn't be a problem to index your blog. Just submit your blog's sitemap to Google webmaster, share to social network sites and do some social bookmarking. I hope it helps.
