Ways to quit smoking?

I have been smoking for over 5 years, and don't know how to stop, i have tried nicotine gum and vapes but i cant stop.
Figure out your smoking triggers after meals, during stress, whatever they are and have a replacement ready to go. Don't just quit the habit, swap it out.

am not a doctor so i can't tell you the exact medication name but you can acquire a medication from your local pharmacy that helps with your withdrawal symptoms(it is mainly used as an anti-anxiety/anti-depressant) and start putting on nicotine patches and lowering your cigarette count daily eventually you are not gonna have the itch for it but like with most people you will be back unless you replace the habits like @Larry Scott said.

gonna start my journey to quit soon wish me luck

Keep your mouth busy with something else

For example, saggy boobs of divorced old ladies, much better than sucking cigarettes

I was a one pack a day person and have tried everything in the past to quit but nothing worked. The easyway to stop smoking by allan carr helped me. I read the book about a year ago and I haven’t smoked a single cigarette since.

First: The fact that you have tried gums and vaporizers yet continue to smoke does not mean you cannot quit Nicotine addiction can be extremely

persistent and many people require multiple attempts or a combination of different treatment methods

and busy other works yourself

Wish it was that easy.
the crazy part is that it is that easy. The real issue is not smoking, is the lack of self control.

Like with many other things in life, even thou it sounds stupid, if you just stop doing it for long enough, you brain is gonna stop asking you for the substance at some point.

Meditation could help too. Don't avoid the act of smoking, focus on increase your self control to see how much time can you endure without smoking.

I’d say focus on breaking the routine, not just the nicotine. Identify when you usually smoke and replace those moments with something else. It takes time, but consistency makes a big difference.

I just stopped smoking one day after almost 20 years. The only way is to cut it in an instance and to make *no* exceptions.

The whole thing falls apart at once with the very first exception you allow yourself.

Quitting a habit is very difficult. To truly quit, you need to find a reason painful enough to force yourself to change. Ask yourself: “If I don’t quit, what am I willing to lose?”

Never smoked here, but my advice is to stop gradually. How many cigarettes do you smoke a day?

5 years is a long time, so I wouldn’t beat yourself up over it. If gum and vaping didn’t work, maybe try talking to a doctor about other quit options instead of trying to do it all on willpower.

There are special safes with timers (They are sold on AliExpress.): you put your vape or a pack of cigarettes inside and set a time before which the safe can’t be opened. This way, you can gradually increase the time between smoking and slowly cut back. There are plenty of ways to quit the main thing is to find one that works for you and get started.

Honesty is, I would just forget about using the e cigarette and set a quit date with some help with managing the cravngs. If the gum doesn’t work, there is always a physician/ pharmacist who can make some suggestions.
