Wondering if anyone can give me any sort of guideline regarding ways to promote affiliate links?

Right now, i have prepared a facebook page with only few likes. What else do i need? Facebook ads?

Any help is appreciated.

Facebook is a good start. You can post your affiliate links to related groups and pages. Also expand to other social networking sites like twitter,g+
If you are just starting then stay away from ads & paid methods. Just stay with free social media clicks to promote your offers. Also build a micro-niche site & do SEO & promote it via social accounts.

Thanks man, right now i am trying to promote via facebook. I am not good at making niche sites but i will take the suggestion

I think the best way is to build a decent website. Post a high quality content and moderatly insert affiliate links.
In the beginning it is not the best idea to invest money in adds of any kind.
