Ways to hide server address ???

It's very funny that a lot peoples suggest the Cloudflare. Very strange that you don't know they release your personal details and of course the original server IP when they get the first abuse report.

Cloudflare received a DMCA copyright infringement complaint regarding:

We have provided the name of your hosting provider to the reporter. We have forwarded this complaint to your hosting provider.

To respond to this issue, please reply to [email protected].

Yeah, so how screwed are we after this happens?

Is it nearly certain our site will be shut down after this?

Any way to prevent this or hide better?

Quite normal, Cloudflare are US based CDN service, they need to obey to lawsuits and subpoenas. Cloudflare are just to help you hide server IP and handle traffic more easily with Caching and DDoS Protection.

You should do Cloudflare > VPS / Dedicated Offshore with Reverse Proxy configured > Your Cheap OVH / Hetzner server.

To make with more privacy you should follow this one (not cheap)

DDoS-Guard.net > Cheap Offshore VPS configured with Reverse Proxy > Your Offshore VPS / Dedicated Server.

I recommend you to check and if you can replace your Cloudflare with DDoS-Guard.net
DDoS-Guard is the best CDN alternative to Cloudflare and more resistant than Cloudflare (CF).

Cloudflare will always provide your real server IP, that is why you should use a reverse IP between CF and your real server IP.
Many tutorials out there, good luck.
 
Use the Proxy Protocol to pass real user IP addresses and periodically change proxy server IP addresses.
 
does this actually work? I imagine one can trace to original sever still easily

I see many people use proxies to change their IP addresses. You can try them to achieve your purpose. However, to avoid suspicion, you should only use 1 prox for 1 account.

To hide your hosting IP, use a reverse proxy Cloudflare, Nginx, a CDN, or a load balancer. For extra privacy, consider offshore hosting or IP rotation. What’s your main goal security or anonymity?
 
If you need more control or don't trust Cloudflare's data handling, use the VPS proxy method. It costs $5-10 per month, completely masks your IP, and puts you in control — and can be configured in just an hour or two if you're familiar with basic server commands.
 
Honestly, unless you're running something shady, why bother? Most hosting companies aren't actively trying to track you like that.
 
It will take me about 5 minutes to find the real IP address of the server behind Cloudflare, while bots can do it in 5 seconds or less.
