I have more than 300 web properties which I used as tier 1 for some website that has received a manual penalty for unnatural links. How can I tell if these/which have been penalized as well? All have unique content, PA +30/40. I would like to use those for another website but I'm not sure if that would be a stupid move. If I search for sentences used in articles, they do come as the top result.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

That's wired. Let see what some expert said about this issue..

your web 2.0s weren't penalized, you left a footprint somewhere and Google realized that you created the Web 2.0 properties and linking them to your website.

300 web 2.0s is a bit excessive mate, not surprising you got a slap... it's better to build higher quality web 2.0 properties IMO. Even if they do happen to get reviewed manually, they'll pass easily because I usually have up to around 10-15 pages if they are satellite for my main site. I also use them to index links faster which would make it a solid tier 2.

as far as i know, web 2.0s do not get penalized yet by google. probably your whole linkbuilding strategy was caught by google and they penalized your money site.

Well that is far fetched, they do get penalised and deindexed at sub domain level. Especially it has been seen that Web 2.0s find it difficult to get indexed which is the correct way to put it.

i have spammed with 10,000s of links to web 2.0s like wordpress,blog.com,edublogs,wix.com and jimdo and they have never been deindexed or penalized from google. Im talking about at least 20,000 links built to each web 2.0. That is why i say that web 2.0s do not get penalized by google yet, they can get deleted manually or automatically for duplicate content or spam like it happens in Tumblr and Blogspots Blogs but not actually a penalty from google.

Did you use a public or other form of PBN? I've never received a manual penalty for using Web 2.0.

you had a manual review on your page and they found your unnatural links.
so your page is manually punished
but your web 2.0 not.

just don't make the same again improve it somehow and bring some randomness in your linking system

As far as i seen Web 2.0 doesn't get penalized but probably your whole link building technique may be was caught by Google. Do something different this time, probably review your whole link building strategy yourself.

Let me tell you how i screwed a link buying web 2.0 properties combined with tier 2 backlinks. I took 3 days to google to slap that link and from pos 48 to nowhere.
