Okay, so I'm promoting a local business via a website that I've ranked in google. However, the city in which the business is situated, is like 300 miles away from my location. I do not want to rely on "just" google.

Obviously flyers, cards posters etc promoting the website/business is off the table, unless i drive there which I;m not prepared to do.

So how else could I drive local traffic, online and offline? Facebook? Twitter?

Thanks

Try the forums in the local tv stations, they get a butt-load of local traffic as they are constantly driving people to their site from their broadcasts to interact and comment.

Can I ask what type of industry are you promoting?

Why would you need to "drive to the city" if you would use flyers and card posters? Pay someone to do it for you, outsource it.

If you don't have the money then facebook ads are the best solution

I second using FB ads. If you have the budget, I believe this is the best way. As an alternative, try Craigslist/YP?

Just get someone in the town to put up posters and fliers. Use FB ads and twitter as well.

Well you could attempt to find out that cities local newspaper is called and run an ad in that paper.
