I've used plenty of scrapped Wayback content in the past for filler posts on PBNs and expired Web 2.0's. But in the past few months I had over 70% of this content not index. Hand written content on the same sites were all indexed.
I had one Blogspot Web 2.0 that indexed but none of the posts indexed. So, I took its gmail account and set it up in Google Search Console. Requested the URLs for these 4 posts to be indexed. Checked a few days later (using site:web20.blogspot.com) still not in the SERP. So I log into Search Console again and request an index again. This time I got a message saying "canonical page is not located on this domain" or something to that point. Wish I would have taken a screen shot.
I figured why not rewrite the content and see if it will index. So I rewrote the content very quickly and not at all as well as the original scrapped content. Then I requested the URLs be indexed.
The next morning they were in the SERP.
This scraped content passed copyscape before I posted it, 2 months ago. It passed again before I rewrote it. I copied a few sentences from the content and dropped it in god old google search. Nothing returned an exact match or even anything close in the SERP.
I found a PBN I had not indexing any of the dozen blog posts I pulled when I recreated the site. The home, about, services and contact pages all indexed, they were fresh content. The blog posts were not.
Did Google start crawling Wayback and just not indexing it? Is anyone else seeing this?
Looks like I will be buying a lot more handwritten content.
