way more hops than clicks?

I am running a direct linking adwords campaign. Clickbank is showing 471 hops. Adwords is showing 225 clicks. wtf? 6 sales so far with a fantastic ROI so i am not complaining but why so many hops? is it possible that people using the site bookmarked it and now everytime they go to log in it is showing up as a new hop?

How did you get your ad approved? As far as I know, Adsense doesn't allow clickbank products.

it depends on whether the site your linking to violates googles terms of service. I would say most clickbank products DO. However if you choose carefully and stay away from health sites and IM, basically anything that makes outrageous claims or might jeopardize someone's health, it can be done. I even opened a support ticket to ask and they said i was fine. contrary to popular belief google does not hate affiliates or clickbank. they just hate most of what is sold on clickbank

Any niche can be advertised with Adwords if applying a good cloaker - even gambling. So, u dont have to spend time with a non-violated aff product, u can advertise all. Besides, testing aff products against adwords approval, each time is risky, since one mistake and the acc is suspended

this site has disclaimers navigation etc etc might be safe for adwords not sure because i don't use it but that is the general idea.

I would be curious about cloaking however i don't understand how cloaking would make it safe to bid on terms like "online poker betting systems" or whatever you might use in adwords to get targeted visitors for banned content. Also the beauty of non violated aff products are that they are usually things that provide value which for my morality is actually kind of important. I don't really want to make money of some fool who wants to make his dick bigger or wants to hypnotize his girlfriend into anal

Its possible that the people who have clicked the link might have revisited the page. That could be a possibility.
Or maybe someone else accidentely used your url-Extremely low possibility
