I dont know what happened, but maybe someone can explain so i understand.
I have a gaming/esport news site, and i was working on this 1 article in december about plays.tv shutting down, I did some seo for it, some quiet aggressive seo. After 1 month I had noticed all my serps were basically frozen, I was seeing no movement with any keywords so i made the assumption i was penilized for the seo tactic. Fast forward to march and I start to see movement again, everything was going up.
The article i had written hit rank 3 for its keywords, then the next day 1 of the keywords got the featured spot, then some keywords for that page got feature spots. Fast forward again to this week and a ton of keyword for articles all over the site are hitting feature spots, some/most i never even bothered to seo.
So whats going on? Is this like a google reward or something, I make 1 good thing so now google is rewarding all my site rankings with feature spots? Some keywords are even outranking sites i never would think of targeting for basically the same article. An example, a spun article from AMD.com is now featured and outranking that exact same article from amd.com
Will this last? or will google toss me off a roof?
