Its really interesting how much influence Google has on web developers. Like Google puts a gun on the breast of the web developers and says "you better create your website in the way we want, or you won't get organic traffic". At the same time it is Google (Search engine and also especially YouTube) which are doing absolutely nothing for content creators. Constantly bringing new shitty algorithm updates or changes to their policies, which are giving them more power over content creator or developers.
I don't know how you guys see it or if you have noticed it, but in 2020 and also 2021 I could notice that Google is doing some quite aggressive things, which primarily target content creators. For me it seems they want to eradicate independent content creators or in other words: They don't want normal people to earn money from their platform anymore.
I mean, lets be honest on here. You can search for a specific keyword in a specific niche and YOU KNOW what results will show up. Big authority sites, even tho many of them often provide no real value or its content is pure ideology.

It really like that though..
Every developer has a love/hate relationship with google, i do must say they challenge me from time to time to learn additional stuff and keep me busy for quite a while to satisty their needs.
About your point regarding the content creators and Google targeting them using a variaty of aggresssive ways, yeah it seems like they dont really care about them (anymore).
Google became way too powerful and im not sure if they can handle this responsebility, they'll stay money hungry in the end.
