Watch out for scumbag advertisers!!!

Entrepreneur.com is an advertiser on the CJ network and they offer a handful of products. I was curious why their network earnings were so low and I figured it out after checking out the destination page of one of their products.


They offer a CHEAPER eBook product right there on the landing page that points you to a different site. I just sent the rep an email to find out if we get a commission and he said, "No, not on digital products". WTF?

I hope they and other advertisers that try to steal traffic from us get the boot from CJ. Just be careful of who you're promoting on CJ and make sure you check out the destination pages to see if they've got a way to screw you over or not like this arseholes are doing (Entrepreneur).

You send traffic, the traffic sees CHEAPER and follows the link. You make no money and your arsehole is sore after you've realized they've screwed you.

Be careful of Clickbank offers that let your lead sign up for something free.
Especially the number one guitar product on Clickbank.

When they send follow up emails they strip out your affiliate info and claim
the sale for themselves.

Now thats a pretty dirty trick. Everyone should stay away from those types.

BHone got banned in the meanwhile, but I found the information interesting - I was promoting one of those CB free products without testing it myself, but this really puts a flag on it. Anyone else had this experience?

I've also been testing a CB product with a "free trial" period that consists of an email series. I'm told that because my cookie has been dropped by their visiting the vendor's sales page that I'll get credit if a sale is made, but now you've got me wondering. I haven't gotten a single sale in sending a couple hundred clicks to their landing page.

i think even if your cookie drops, and i send them my link, your cookie will be overwrite and i will get the credit, in this case ... they will

Yes I was looking for products to promote. I went with CB and was looking for some muscle related products. I used my own hoplink to go to the different pages and optin into many of the publisher site's lists. I was suprised when the emails i recieved had another F'ing hoplink to shave me commission off.

Scumbags. Obviously I immediately dropped them and sent there emails to a bunch of gay porn sites, but only after I ranted in an email saying I was going to report them to the BBB.
