i so wasn't interested in the IPad... that was until about 10 minutes ago when I was going through my domains and realized i registered what i consider a very good ipad related domain back in April last year! :)

i know im gonna make some good $$$ with this domain - so many options to monetize it, but the whole point of this thread is i guess just to remind you to keep your eyes open, if you hear a rumour act on it - for me i heard a rumour that apple where gonna release something called the IPAD didnt have a clue what it was but i went out and bought what i thought was the best available .com domain for it last April - for the sake of investing in a $8 dollar domain i know im gonna possibly make x1000 times that amount back all because of a bit of foresight...

for me i buy possibly $75+ worth of magazines a month not only are they a tax write off but they could also hold a wealth of insight and my next seo campaign! :)

hope all that makes sense - i just cracked open a bottle of wine and lets say having a good time of it right now! Lol

guys, just keep your eyes open! cheers

Good Work Buddy - Im a big fan of knee jerk ideas and jumping in on them.
Any chance of you letting us know what the domain is?

not gonna mention the domain just yet - but will probably log a video diary of what i do to monetize it so people can learn from it :)

Cool, I have a couple of related domains, with nothing on them yet. I need the usual kick in the .... incouragement.
Look forward to your videos, as always.

Are these just general magazines to pull ideas from?

they are magazines related to niches that i am interested in - go to your nearest large book store and go to the magazine section, our nearest one Barnes & Nobles has 100's of magazines covering all different kinds of subjects

I can spend a good hour in there, if you dont have the cash to buy em - usually theres a place you can buy coffee and sit down, you could always just grab yourself a coffee, a pad and a pen spend and afternoon reading the magazines and jotting down notes! :)

sometimes i will find one useful url that makes it worth while to me just buying the whole magazine

I keep meaning to fill in those coupons that you get to subscribe you can get a years subscription for like $10 thats like 80% off! lol would save me a ton of cash too! lol

or you could be sneaky at the same time your looking at the magazines before you put them back slip in your printed flyer that promotes magazine subscriptions! lol

Cool, I've found that the adverts in this magazines (usually for direct mailing companies) can easily be replicated online.

I know ukescuba's products and if anyone can make money from an iPad domain he can.

Just build my first ever website based on iPad it can be found at apple-ipads . n e t

Can't wait to see what ukescuba does with his I might just copy his idea..

I am sure he won't mind!

Nice surprise! Good to know you can benefit from *the pad*

iyeeeeee registered a few of my ideas so now I have just under 20 domains I don't use (!), most are dot coms and choosen because of the keywords in them. Brought them when I'd only just started so not sure if they are necessarily good choices.

Figured I'd put them up (with a short blub containing the keywords and related keywords) so they could age. Not sure if that works or if I need something else and it does feel a little like low risk/potential high return gambling. Anyway, thanks for the reminder. They are easy to forget especially now that I have more than one host.

am guilty of not doing this - if you buy a domain put a holding page up at least with your targeted keywords do it right away or else you will end up like me with 200+ domains that dont have holding pages! lol

if you decide never to use them at least they are aged a little and have basic relevant content on them and will probably be indexed in google - ready to sell :)

Yes I admit i am a domain addict!
