Alright so my web empire/business has been slowly growing. Well today it hit a mile stone: the websites were getting so much traffic that the web host actually suspended the account based on using, "too much" resources. By too much resources they are talking about CPU usage. This is shared hosting account, cost like 5$/month.

Well, now I need to upgrade to something faster. Whats the next step up in terms of hosting? and cost?

Hmm if you're expanding as quickly as you say you are I'd recommend going to a VPS or similar. However there is a solution that might be ideal for you which is cloud solutions such as Amazon Elastic Computer Cloud or a GoDaddy cloud server, these are pay as you go solutions at very reasonable prices (like $0.2 an hour) Amazon even offers a certain amount of resources free. The great thing about these is that they are scalable i.e. as much space, IP's and bandwidth as you can stomach. Hope this helps, I'm currently using Amazon's solution for my personal blog and it's working out great.
