Was there a PR update these days? I will lose my mind!

I am just wondering, a couple of valuable domains of mine (PR4) are now PR N/A!

I am sure, these domains' PR was real, all had high quality whitehat and thousands of backlinks, no redirects, no fake PR whatsoever!!!

The domains are still listed on google, their nameservers were set to default ones of Godaddy, could it be an update that ran these days, saw the website empty, and ruined the PR? :|

I didn't notice any type of PR changes with any of mine or client sites since the new algo update.
 
I read on some websites that said there will be a PR update on April, 2012. Could this be it?
There is and was no redirects to the domain names. Nothing is faked, why would their PR drop suddenly?
 
It's hard to imagine dropping from PR4 to N/A even with an update especially if you feel all was in order. I'm sure you have used various sources to check on the PR? Of course, with all the chnages going on now....I can't say I'm surprised. I hope it all works out for you soon!!
 
as soon as i acquired the domains i parked them at godaddy, so at least there will be a temporary page for google to see and that was a week ago, i just visited both of them and all i get is a stupid blank page. which is unusual. customer rep told me there seems to be something wrong, they are working on it. well yeah i bet google crawled the domains, found a blank page, screwed the pr!
all their high pr backlinks are there, no redirects before/now to the domains.

now people i sold one of the domains to, people i advertised the other domain to, will think i am a scammer. thank you godaddy!
 
PR n/a and PR0 are not the same thing. PR n/a means the data is not available. It does not mean that you have lost PR.
 
Godaddy's explanation:
ICANN saw a contact info change, they "locked" the domain, until they verify you. They said they can't put a parking page with ads on it when I have not been "verified" by ICANN :O What the?

I said well they took down my domains that I legally bought, I have my contact info in the whois and they haven't called. Godaddy rep told me to put something on the domains and that is what I am going to do right now, some content..

LBrown, I hope you are right.... and I hope this is a temporary issue.
 
Just a quick update, installed web hosting and added a couple of words. Pinged the website.
site:domainname.com is returning results (and many)
info:domainname.com is not returning any result

Any idea what this might be?
 
Now we are under a google dance. Next week, PR will be estable.
 
Yes I can see something is going on. Some domains had a PR4 yesterday, now their PR shows PR N/A or 0.
As for my website, after adding content homepage is now listed :D now I am waiting for homepage to gain back it's PR4 since other pages still have their PR.
 
If you do some research you'll see that this happens regularly with Godaddy parked/expired domains. PR gets set to N/A while it's parked or expired, and if the backlinks stay in place you'll get the PR back once you have a valid site up and running again.
 
I got one site that went from PrR3 to PR2 these days so somethig is happening
 
At first, I didn't noticed there was PR update as all my root domains are the same, but, something change in the inner pages. Some lose PRs some gain PRs.
 
Last PR update was on May 3 - there are threads on BHW.
Regarding lost PR - here is my case: bought aged domain - PR n/a. Started wordpress site on it. In two days it got PR3! Could not believe my eyes but it has some old backlinks. On May 3 went down to PR 2 - still good for 1 month old site.

Concusion - if you'd like your pr back you need content. If old backlinks are pointing to inner pages recover them with Wayback machine. If links are to homepage - any relevant content will do
 
I think Big G doing some random PR update. As few people in bhw confirmed that their sites who have less than one month old site suddenly has PR4 from PR0. And some confirmed the otherwise. And I'm sure it'll be change quickly in no time.
 
I have a website build about 2 months ago. Quality content en only manual backlinks and bookmarks.
It got PR2 For main page 4 articles got PR2 And 6 articles got PR1 even Privacy policy and contact page got PR1.
only got bout 10 700word articles
 
I recovered everything by submitting these domains to google webmaster tools.
 
yeah there has definatly been an update and has worked pretty well for my sites :D
 
PR N/A means either your website was made after the latest PR update (which is not the case with you) or the data centers don't have a response to your request (Something that happens for few days after a recent PR update until all data centers sync the new PR).

I would care less about PR unless I'm selling links on the home page which I hope you are not doing so just focus on rankings which is the part that makes you money.
