Warrior Forum Sold To Freelancer.com

Yeah I just read the original post. I see it now. That makes no fucking sense. You buy a company for $3.2 million and the first thing you do is decrease revenue? Am I missing something?

They want to flood the market with WSOs, they want to enlarge their "Guru" pool, so they are expanding it to guys that are even greener. Less money means that there is less risk involved, therefore we will see more and more WSOs being offered.

More WSO's means more money and traffic - unfortunately.

Also, they want to reward their "core" members as you can see... core members these that are only unscrupulous mates scrapping the scrotum out of all the noobs they can find and persuade.

Honestly.....I would have thought WF would have gone for more than 3 million.....sounds like they sold themselves short....compare this to some of these other sites that u see that get sold for 100 million by Big G....

It's crazy how much hate you guys have for wf.

I do not hate WF, it is the morons who use WF that I hate.

The ratio of morons to normal people who use the WF is far higher than the ratio here, the reason why I choose to use BHW. WF probably has something like 100 morons to one normal person, and I am not sure about here, but at least here they have the decency to kick out the morons instead of collecting them

...BHW also comprises of secret millionaires/billionaires and consultants/advisers of those "Vice Presidents, Chief Marketing and Chief Growth Officers from some of the top Internet companies in the world." :)

That's true and even Matt Cutts, the head of Google Webspam team is on Blackhatworld as well. He has agreed to this himself several times on Twitter. And hundreds of other millionaires and tens of billionaires who don't like showing off work from behind the scenes and are frequent visitors of BHW, I am myself in touch with a lot of them.

Hi Guys

Matt Barrie here, Chief Executive of Freelancer.com.

Happy to answer any questions you might have.

Regards
Matt
PS: BHW is next.

Good luck mate, you might have a hard time ahead! Because BHW is 100x more valuable than WarriorForum and you might need to sell your Freelancing website to acquire BHW. ;)

Hi Guys
Matt Barrie here, Chief Executive of Freelancer.com.

Even if this isn't real, I'm sure he'll be reading this thread to understand the buzz surrounding the acquisition. The only thing I find interesting here is that they sold for just 3X annual revenue. Sounds like a short sale.

The demographics breakdown has some good data for BHW members as well: 37% US, 13.7% other first-world, rest third-world.

$3.2 millions lol, I always thought they are worth more.

The goal is to lower the entry barrier, converting consumers (the WSO buyers) into producers (becoming WSO creators). Revenue will be increased since people who never thought about opening an WSO will now be attracted by the low entry barrier.

WarriorForum has a lot of visitors, a part of them are active in the marketplace but many aren't. So since they have a big market share this is an attempt to convert as many of them as possible.

They want to flood the market with WSOs, they want to enlarge their "Guru" pool, so they are expanding it to guys that are even greener. Less money means that there is less risk involved, therefore we will see more and more WSOs being offered.

Right, I understand what they are trying to do, but it still makes little sense to me. Right off the bat you have to double the amount of people who create WSOs just to get back to the level of revenue you were at when you initially bought the site. Do you really think there are that many more people who are going to create WSOs? It's already bad enough with the amount of sheer garbage that is pumped out over there. Just what they need. Also, when you lower the "barrier to entry" you diminish the quality. It is like this in any marketplace.

I always try to look at it this way. If someone is selling you an SEO service, but has a hard time paying $40 to launch a BST thread, what does that tell you about the quality of his service? If someone is selling a WSO about how to make money or this and that and has an a problem paying the entry fee of $40, do you really want to buy a WSO from a person like this? If anything they should increase the cost to launch a WSO. This weeds out a ton of garbage.

Another way to look at it is this way - if they want to generate $10K a month in revenue they need to sell 500 WSO (plus renews). If they raised the price to $100 (this is minimal comparably speaking), you would only have to sell 100 WSOs including renews. So this way, you can lose 4 out of 5 prospective customers and still make the same amount of revenue. I would suspect they would maybe lose 1 out of 5 if they raised it to this price.

I don't know. It's their business, but I think it's a bad move by Freelancer.com.

Don't mess up with Matt guys, if you do so - he will ban you in a near future. Just kidding, really Matt, who the fck you are to talk like that?

Everyone is just ripping off noobs to make money and patting each other on the back.
That's probably why so many members are so protective over the WSO forum, say anything negative and they shoot you down...

On BHW literally 99% of WSO wouldn't be approved or allowed!

I've never understood why WF mods always say "We only provide the platform for WSO's, we don't control what they provide etc."
But surely there is someone approving these scam WSO's? Maybe he should be fired if he is to stupid to spot a scam...

Hey Matt, i hope you change the "Not naming scammers publicly" policy and introduce something like BHW "Shit List" to WF....

Also agree with what others are saying, it's a bad move to lower the price to launch a WSO, that was done for a reason, well two:
1) Make more money for Allen
2) Cut down on the scammers, fly by night's etc.
By lowering the price you are attracting more shit to a market place that's already 80% full of shit...

Yeah, people get banned there for voicing an opinion. That is why people get ripped off and shit WSO's get sold.
I don't really have a problem with WF but they prefer to bury anything scammy rather than actually deal with it.

Okay, stop it with the WF hate, your missing the real fucking point.
If WF stops working, then BHW is going to be flooded with useless cunts just like WF is right now.
Now... Nobody wants WF members to move to BHW, does anyone?
So, from my heart - Congratulations, Matt, keep the good job up!
Keep the forum running and never let it fall!

The owner of Warrior Forum and Freelancer.com, basically I am the owner of the shit in my toilet, he is the owner of Warrior Forum and Freelancer.com - sounds like we have the same weight with him!
