I just want to tell everyone what just happen with me at Warriorforum. I wanted to branch out a little, see what was going on, on some other forums. So among a few others, warrior forum was one of them. I personally happen gravitate in the direction of email marketing. So i found a few threads and figured id give my two sense. The topic was of this guy who bought a list of emails and wanted advice in mailing them. (***Side note i actually paid to be on warriors forum. i strongly advise against it.)

Everyone on the forum was bashing the guy, telling him how dumb he was an how NO ONE would allow him to mail his own lists. It went on and on everyone else just taking turns agreeing and re-agreeing with them selves. I even noticed one of the moderators was the owner of a company that offers email marketing services.

So i made a comment. Telling the guy to get his own domain + his own hosting. Mail what ever he wants.. Do it him self. I come back the next day and notice my post was gone.. "Strange" i say to my self. Figured maybe i re-freshed the page or idk figure it was on my end. So i re-wrote it and posted again.. Here is what i wrote.

"With all due respect to everyone, it does not really matter what these companies allow or disallow.

The Can Spam Act says you can mail unsolicited up to 30,000 a year. If you have a legitimate company, mail compliant, you should be fine legally speaking(altho i dnt think your allowed to buy lists, not sure tho).

If you want to mail TO ANYONE.. why use Aweber ? or any of these other companies ?

A Domain cost 7$, a hosting account cost around 10 and up.. With the smallest 10$ account you can send out up to 1k an hour. Some companies only allow 250 and hour others like Hawk host allows up to 1k.

DO IT YOUR SELF.. forget these companies. Get your own stuff.. Mail to who you want.

I'm not saying you wont get shut down for getting RBLed(if you do get rbled). But most places will allow up to 2/4 complaints. And they will forward them to you. So as you mail you build your list of ppl who actually complain. REMOVE THOSE ppl.

If anyone would like any help and or advice relating to email or email marketing. Feel free to msg me any time. Im hear to help :)"

I come back to my computer a few hours later to see if my post would go MIA again. To my surprise i see
"You have been banned for the following reason:
    Breaking the Forum Rules!

Date the ban will be lifted: Never"

I think this is crazy. + Totally wrong and unfair. In all honesty their forum really really sucks anyways.. But now i know why. They censor their posts and here is proof.

I'm going to charge them back the 10$ on my cc.. but really Its not the $ its the point. If any of you were thinking of signing up there i would advise against it. You're not getting the full story.

PS, sorry if this is not the right place for this post... but I figured it was, lol.:44:

All of these stories about the Warrior Forum aren't just hyperbole - they're batshit insane.

It doesn't matter how logical your argument is, if it's the minority opinion on WF you will be overrun by morons. At least in BHW if someone disagrees they aren't immediately crucified (unless their disagreement is fucking nonsense).

I think one of the few ways to get crucified on BHW is to ask "how do I make money?" (and for good reason, considering there is a search function). Other than that, this place is basically free to ask anything and have any sort of opinion. WF is full of babies.

Very true but even if you are wrong.. DEAD wrong, or RIGHT.. I haven't ever heard of ANY ONE ever getting banned for what i said. ANYWHARE.. BHW, you can be wrong all you want + disagree. BUT you want get banned.

I'm starting to think all of their mods are allowed to pedal their services and direct w/e conversation they wish in a way that ends with them making money. GOD for bid the thread ends allowing their readers to actually make money and spend less doing it.

They directed the conversation in a way that made this poor guy think Aweber and companies like that were the ONLY WAY to mass mail. The mod owned a competing company. Each time he spoke all the other ppl on the forum were jerking him off. Was sicking.. ***OFICAL NOTICE "Warrior forum" OFFICIALLY SUCKS..!!!

Warrior forum is literally running on fumes and perception. They have to both control the narrative that they have a helpful marketing forum whilst manipulate the reality that their sole existence is the sheer exploitation of the "lower-class" users - first time IMers, people new to the realm of technology, people who trust forums - for monetary purposes.

    It's unethical.

That's why I love BHW, you can disagree all day but mods won't ban you. You can even suggest a competitor service and if you did something wrong, people from here will correct you. That's what big brothers do :)

Now that you know, you may want to stick around BHW and participate more. Not that you have to but it looks like you could share some knowledge. :)

The reason they run like that on WF is because they have only their agenda to make themselves money. To tell someone to do it themselves would mean they lose out on money. They are really a pathetic bunch over their. I steer well clear of them after seeing a few of the threads with similar things occuring in them over there.

I agree you should stick around here and learn, take action then contribute.
BHW is one of the few places where you people sincerely help you..help yourself. Its not about hyped up guru
talk around here. It is about counting money and enjoying friendships.

    Cheers!

I actually do have a pro WF account, and it has been useful in the past. However, I haven't logged onto WF in years now. The WSO's are horrible though. I did buy a few but refunded it straight away due to the ridiculous content. I see Mario Brown's ad on FB and it makes me want to laugh because his stuff is total garbage. That said, some of them are very rare gems which I have been able to implement into marketing campaigns which I hadn't though about before but I find most of the BlackHat___ like this one a lot more educational, interesting, and less n00bish than WF.

100% agree with everything you just said. I feel bad for anyone entering the world of online marketing via WarriorForum.
