True story about his son.
He lives fairly close to where I live, and one of my friend's wife's family are also pretty big farmers. I guess Buffett has just been buying up every single bit of land that comes up for sale in the central Illinois area around him, so her grandfather finally decided to prove a point that someone else could buy land.
He ended up outbidding Buffett, and paid something like $19k/acre, I think for around 40 acres. Now it is something he could only do once, but he did what he said he'd do.

Agricultural Farmland is overpriced, I'd rather buy desert land and build a "solar farm"

At $19k/acre around here it's overpriced. Generally though, it's not a bad investment at around $6k/acre like what it usually goes for.
A lot of farmers, and people who rev-share their land, made a killing with corn this year.

Warrent Buffet is a scumbag. Pro Federal Reserve Shill.
He and his buddies sold fraud Mortage back SEC, that were rated Junk. Then paid the rating agencies to rate it AAA. Now us as taxpayers have to pick up the bill because the fed bought up all those toxic mortages. Thats why prices are skyrocketing is because of all the printing of money. So you pay a hidden tax while warren buffet preaches about how the rich dont pay enough in taxes.
The worship this man gets is really disgusting.

I think its funny how he talks about being so conservative with spending money when he advocates raising taxes over auditing the budget of the government.
