Hi Guys and Girls,

Earlier this morning Google Webmaster tools told me that there was an error in my site's sitemap. Previous to this warning I had 5 URL's indexed in the search engine. I rebuilt the sitemap (using XML Sitemap on Wordpress) and resubmitted. The problem seems to be fixed, but now Webmaster tools are saying my site currently has 0 URLs that have been indexed, despite the new sitemap having been accepted.

Now I ask those of you more experienced than I - is this a punishment from google for various black hat techniques I have used (despite the fact I've only used AMR and BMD on Web 2.0's and NOT my money site) or is it simply a sitemap error that needed rectifying that has resulted in the my url's needing to be re-indexed.

I'd really appreciate some insight.

I hope you all had a great New Years too!

B.

Google search for: site:yourdomain.com

If your site is still indexed, then dont worry about what GWT says, it often has a 24 hour lag.

All 5 links come up in Google when I employ that search. I suppose things are alright then? :)

Thanks for the prompt help, mate :)

Often Google Webmaster tools are slow to update. I wouldn't worry.
