    Has anyone had this error before??

    If you need more details on the situation ask

    Im really trying to get this figured out so I can start fixing my site

    I called godaddy and they said that there is a problem with a line on the SQL file and to change it to a .csv file


    Some one help me brainstorm this issue !!

    It is a common PHP error. It just means that your website is not able to the connect to the MYSQL database behind it.

    Check your username and password and the database name is correct in the php file. Also, make sure mysql is running.

    It is setup correctly im pretty sure but....

    I called godaddy which probaly is the problem

    but he said there was an error and he cant determine what it was..

    so I wanted to see if anyone has experince with this issue?

    Normally when I have that problem my username or password or database name I'm connecting to is incorrect.

    what is the name of your database? are you using localhost? or the IP address?

    ok noob question but how do I know if its local or ip

    lol I mean this I just don't know in the script its set as localhost but to be 100% how will i determine it?

    Ok dude I answered my own question thanks for bringing up local vs ip

    I had no idea the difference and how to determine I saw an ip in the mySQL window and inserted in for local host and BAM thanks a million

    I said it once and ill say it again... funny how something som simple can be the biggest pain...:)
