What kind of links do you build to your tier 1s? Tier 2 web 2.0s only?

I agree with this assessment.

If the site was a few months old, that may be different. Penguin could be like a time keeper, in a sense. haha
 
I think Superlinks is right.

I make sites everyday. Blast buffer sites every day. i've noticed google for some reason takes a heck of a lot longer to index stuff. before this I used to get indexed and ranked on easy/medium keywords in 2 hours

Not so much anymore, when I link build now and blast buffer sites it now takes a good 3-6 days after i've blasted that site for the blast to take effect.
 
this is exactly what i see in my serp ranks. already have posted. quoting

after 3 days of analyzing my webs - i could not agree more on this point.

i have 1 web still ranking at first spot, and all that web had is 100-200 web 2.0 linking at it. No blast to those web20 were done at all. Just pure web 2.0 link, that's all

and i have bunch of webs totally dropped by 50-100 position, those webs had web 2.0 but and all those were blast with thousands shitty links.

So what happened?
web 2.0 stopped serving as a buffer
web 2.0 stopped passing though link juice to my money site and they have dropped

surely, i had some other backling sources, unfortunately can't see any logical patern on BMD, AMR,NHS or similar stuff "

so it could be truth after all

Not jumping to conclusions, but similar story here - none of my ranks have dropped, and i have never gone mental with shitty links to 2.0's - 50 links per 2.0 MAX (if at all)
 
R0meo, how did you build so many web 2.0s? Did you use a bot or did you make them manually. If you used a program, which one did you use?

to be honest if you think about it, a web 2.0 having 5k backlinks is completely un natural. im pretty sure they targeted this in their update
 
Two days and upper case letters with exclamation points doesn't prove anything. Track on daily basis but come back ever two weeks to report progress before this to be a "revelation" or "secret to the holy grail" of ranking.

Everything on G's index is up in the air at the moment. You can't make a "1+1=2" call on anything these days, we are in the middle of a massive shuffle.
Calling anything scientific or "tested" under these conditions is like trying to do brain surgery with your operating table strapped to a waltzer.

Sites are up and down like yo-yo's

Let's see where we are in 6 weeks.
But Google looking at link velocity? Yeah we knew that.

my guts tell me that they actually went after link pyramids, as those probably became the most famous serp manipulation method of past years

and most likely,- now shitty link passed through link pyramid to your money web is still shitty link
 
I think too many people do the mistake to just place links to their money sites on buffers. That's totally unnatural and together with a blast they move buffers way above the radar. Much better to place more outbound links on a buffer and blast a little less imho.

I'm doing 4-5 tiers and the results are only positive, at least not on the site that was hit (though she keeps increasing in bing/yahoo, so who cares about google really)
 
I think it is way too premature to draw a conclusion.

Maybe web 2.0 properties lost some value, but I doubt much. I have a lot of web sites in several niches that are using web 2.0 properties with thousands of sb backlinks to them, and they were not affected at all. If anything, they improved, for me any ways.

Right now, it is just speculation.
 
i know people who xrumer their money sites and do a killing. everything works as long as you don't do it blindly. every tool is only as good as its user. if you go blasting shitty n0f0llow links from overspammed pages won't take u far

Xrumer is vastly different than running a SB nofollow campaign :)
Xrumer works, especially through buffer 301 sites...

The best part about going that route is: it's cheap and it's extremely easy to produce HQ lists. I made a 40,000 forum list (that had threads/posts stick after 7 days) in about 24 hours... and a 80-90k forum profile list in the same time period.

That could take a fresh site to the top of a whole lot of niches.
