Hey guys in the last 2 days, i targeted a very small niche and purchased 2 emd's. One of them .org and the other .info. Each of them i created 10 unique web 2.0s. The .org domain web 2.0s i blasted with 10k scrapebox blasts and the .info web 2.0s i didn't do anything to them. I woke up this morning to find that the .info emd is ranked in top 3 while the .org domain has been sandboxed. Yes, it is now resting in page 100. I am pretty sure that web 2.0s are now treated like your money site. The results may not be final but from my point of view we should stop blasting web 2.0s with shitty backlinks. I am almost 90% sure that this Penguin update is actually targeting buffer sites and tiered linking. I would like to hear your responses.

what kind of content did you put on those web 2.0 ?

Spinned content or original one?

I created 4 unique hand written articles (so 2 for each emd) i then spun each one 5 times, using my own bot (with proper spinning + sentence and structure re ordering) so both emds had a fair test in my opinion. I used to blast all my web 2.0 before this penguin update only because everyone said it helped. I now believe the myth "Blast your web 2.0 to give them power" is lies. My .imfo EMD is now in position 2. I know it may not be a fair test since it is a really low competition keyword but im gonna try a harder one soon.

So besides building a website, and building web 2.0's in what seems to be like one day, and then blasting 10 web 2.0's that all clearly link to one website that seemingly were crawled most likely very close to one another, you're surprised that your EMD's got whacked?
 
Yes your right i did create too much backlinks in such a short period of time. But let me tell you, every micro niche site i create, i build links from day 1 and i have ranked many sites believe me lol. I have never been punished by Google, and yes i have webmasters and analytic tools. What really surprised me is one the .org site got sandboxed while the other is ranked beautifully.

That's nothing new but what OP is reporting now is new to me.. I'll give this a test myself
 
Buy a domain from a godaddy auction that is 10 years old and then try this.

Doing it to newly registered domain is not a test, it is a fact you'll get sandboxed.
 
This is purely conjecture; so take my comment as so;

It's been clear that EMD's have been taking a beating; so it would be fair to say that "penguin" has a possible change to the algo that may look like this

Crawled -> EMD -> "Phrase Length > 2 Words" -> "Age < 2 weeks" -> Time of Backlinks 1w | 2w | 4w |3m| -> Time Backlinks 2w < && >50% of total backlinks -> flagged for manual review.

It wouldn't be hard to figure out if your website was real or not.

It took 2 days for Google to find your web 2.0 buffer sites and sb backlinks to them? That is very fast, but I doubt that is the reason, unless you pinged them. It usually takes Google up to 2 weeks, to find most of them. I would say there is another variable that lead to your issue.
 
It was never that effective to build web 2.0s and blast them anyway, not within the last 8 months.
You may want to think about SEOing in 2012 next time, rather than April 2011

Maybe that is your issue, doing too much too fast.

Maybe Google is targeting urls that are pinged now. I have always been against pinging anyways, it's unnatural and forcing the issue.

I hate pinging too, it is un natural which is why i dont use it. My method is Social links to get my backlinks indexed, googles loves facebook, twitter, youtube etc...

Everyone uses bookmarks to index their links, at least they did... but I don't touch these for tier 1 anymore.
The more tiers I'm finding before you start spamming, the better.
 
Because its new its probably on a severe dance, keep and eye on it, build some book marks and it might come back.
 
Regardless of the age of your money site, Blasting 10 web 2.0's with 10k comments is excessive. ;) Especially as the site you are pointing to is only 2 days old.

I haven't changed my backlinking strategy much aside from adding diversified anchors and things seem to still be rolling.

Then again, some of my personal campaigns are like 4 tiers long. heh.

You bought two domains, and ones bouncing after building links when its only 2 days old? You don't say.....

Thanks for the details, but this is a worthless thread at this point. After 2 days everythings too early to tell.

Buffer sites work, a site that is two days old likely isn't even on every DC yet.....
