I read a method last week about creating an e-commerce site and then promoting it to forum admins (of the same niche)

It was a pretty simple strategy at least it seemed like it but I failed! Maybe because I chose a Hello Kitty niche? There are already a lot of Facebook, IG and Twitter stores promoting their Hello kitty products.

I wanted to start FB advertising but I don't want to spend just yet.

Can you explain how you failed? Or what was the problems/hurdles you couldn't over come?

you just spotted the problem by yourself, you entered in a over saturated niche and it is difficult to be successful while at it.
you have to choose a niche which is underated and under saturated and work your way up, until you make decent cash.

Failure cannot be determined by the fact that you didn't see any results over a one week period.

Hello Kitty is an excellent niche, and no niche is impenetrable.

Don't give up.

Gotta branch to other traffic sources, forums, videos/youtube,ppc, email websites targetting people in your niche and ask to advertise in exchange for $, and SEO. One of those will bring in the dough.

I think hello kitty will do well with facebook, maybe there is a free code to try out facebook somewhere. If not you can get good results with just $5 a day in advertising for testing.

If you haven't mastered PPC then dropshipping may not be for you. Be it Adwords, Facebook, Bing, or some other network PPC is the fastest way to test a niche idea.

Check that thread, that will get you in the right direction.

1. Marketing is my main problem. I don't have a lot of followers - just 14k on twitter and a few hundreds on Facebook. I tried posting on groups, but there has not been a lot of reactions to my product.

2. Product is not cheap for Asian countries - I want to target US or UK, but apparently, they are not very interested with it.

I understand. But my hosting is just for 1 month :D Maybe if I keep adding products, more people will notice...

I considered that. I already tried forums but didn't see success in there.

I tried Bing because it's the cheapest I can find but the traffic is really low... I'll try Facebook next.

What he said lol he is completely right and 14k Twitter acct u should see some sales no?
*she

but that makes sense, I have a 18k instagram and rarely made any sales from that.

I would try fb ads again and experiment

What's ur niche? Maybe the engagement isn't good? Or product isn't appealing.
