Looking for a ~$10/month Linux VPS with around 1024 MB of RAM with root access.

Content is not technically Copyright Infringement, but does significantly aid in it's delivery.
As such, even a fairly steady host will probably pull on us eventually.

Embedded videos (hosted elsewhere on unaffiliated sites) within a searchable database of TV shows.
Also, looking to expand into movies.

Suggestions / Offers?

So far I have managed to find jdr hosting and weservit.nl.
Anyone willing to give confirmation of DMCA-type-avoidance?

With this type of budget it will be difficult to find a hosting company to provide such specifications without overselling their services, as well as being able to provide DMCA avoidance.

We can provide such service, but the cost would be a bit more than in your budget.

Russia ,China, Iran, Netherland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Denmark, and Sweden are safe from DMCA.

Russia = expensive
Iran= expensive
China = low quality and expensive
so Netherland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Denmark, and Sweden is best choice.

Having had issues with JDR Hosting (they got stolen by a partner) I am now with Shark Servers UK, who promise to ignore DMCAs

If you want a decent DMCA ignoring host, you will have to pay a little more. Most so called "DMCA ignored" hosts will ignore some complaints and if you receive too many they will cancel your service.

Normally US, France and Canada based hosting providers do not allow copyright content. As you have mentioned, you want the copyright content in your VPS. Hence, you can look for any offshore hosting. Also, always read their terms and condition properly because sometimes they do not accept all types of website.
