As much as I remember I used to run an autoblog which pulls automatic content and actually my blog has started getting traffic after 1 month.
Basically you get RSS Feed from a website and then post it on your website.
There was a tutorial around 3 years back and I followed it.

This is called autoblog method, I never done it myself but read sth about it, its well, not dead today as I still read people build auto generate sites and earn, but if you are very new to SEO and this type of thing, you cant expect much of it.
At least, try to use some better spinner and some tactics maybe can give you some tiny success.

I used to do autoblog on blogger only via RSS Feeds.
Search in here, there was a thread 3-4 years back on BHW.
