for adesense+pinterest players,how many clicks do you get from 1000 impressions? food niche? i can only get 0~3 clicks, pretty low for me

Hey, you have to review your theme + make sure you have a focused content on your pages, i.e. do not put cocktails, stake and vegetarian recipes on the same page. Also it would help if you reach out to adwords keyword tool and optimize your content over high paying words & phrases.
Answering on your original question: 1000 impressions 60-80 clicks - > 6-8% CTR

I'm typically at 1-2%. The silver lining is that most clicks are health-related. So weight loss. I put up a CB banner in the same niche and getting clicks. Conversion is something else considering these are essentially cold traffic.

text+images as big G recommends, also 300x250 & 728x90 are the most profitable sizes.
