Want to chat about scripting.

Hello, I've got some curiosities about scripting and what they are used for and what they can do for what I'm interested in.

If anyone here has some knowledge on the topic and could PM me, I'd like to hear what kind of resources and tutorials you found helpful.

I'll poke around here a bit on here but my knowledge is too limited on the subject to make use of a lot of the specific questions mentioned here.

Without giving too much away, what are you trying to accomplish?

Generally speaking, scripting languages can often do what "traditional" programming languages can do -- but, generally, take less time to do. Again, generally speaking, this usually comes at the cost of application "speed" -- but is not always that noticeable.
