I have a domain and now I want hosting for it.
Can anyone suggest me which factors have to consider for this and which hosting company will be most effective?
    My domain is SEO related.

    - Price
    - Uptime
    - Server Speed (Depending on what you need)
    - Support

I usually go with Host Gator :croc: they are pretty cheap $4 a month for a shared hosting plan, and they have good support.

As Cascade said, plus i would put Customer Service availability high on the agenda. My host is 24/7 available via chat. When i am contacting them at 3 in the morning i get a "real" technician or sales person on the line, thats crucial for me.

    try eleven2
go to their site and use the live chat. Ask anything you want and evaluate how they respond. If they're good answering your questions that means they know what they're doing. That's what I did and that's why I'm hosting there right now.

also they have this knowledge base tutorials with FAQ and video tuts which are very helpful.

don't go to goDaddy for the love of God, you'll suffer on-page speed optimization.

    Found lots of sites.
Most of them say there hosting is best.
I saw there ipage reduced there fee to $2.95/mo.
    Is there service is alright?
    Anyone here working with ipage?

Time is the issue you have to consider first.
How long are you going to keep hosting?

Always remember that a quick and Good support quality, reliability, uptime are more important than being cheaper. Practically good services do not come for cheap rates.

I am always looking for new hosts. eleven2 looks nice. I just wanted to ask if they had apache + mod_wsgi on their shared hosting so I clicked the chat with tech support link from the home page. I was surprised that I didnt' have to wait for someone like I am used to with other host's chat window. They *do* support mod_wsgi which is pretty rare. I don't need hosting now but next time I am ready for one I am going to check them out. FYI for anyone intrested, webfaction is another good host with mod_wsgi. If your like me and that is one of your requirements, you'll know its kinda hard to find.

Actually I'm new in this field.
Will you please describe what are the functions of mod_wsgi?

I would recommend you hostgator accounts....it is highly reliable and 99.9% uptime but little bit costly....

mod_wsgi is an extension for apache that allows you to run wsgi applications it is similar to cgi but just way newer/better. It causes less overhead for your application than cgi. All my web-apps are written in python. If you are using php or static html sites don't worry about it as a requirement.
