If you let me know what kind of app you are looking to do maybe I can help you along the way. Let me know if you still need help.

If noone comes and helps you, goto lynda.com (google free trial) and oreilly

They have videos.

Also there are enough tuts on the net. Vids are not like pdfs.

Further ado, a great site (warez) for java tuts and any other tutorials/software for that matter, are;

Code:
piratebay.org
warez-bb.org
tehparadox.com
phazedll.com

Ive scraped some video tuts for you as well, over

To learn how to program, you need more than just books, you actually have to get your hands wet. You don't understand the books probably because 1) you bought the wrong books or 2) you just don't want to learn and understand and think about what the book is trying to teach you. And what don't you understand? Where are you actually stuck at? You can't learn how to program in a day, those learn java in 24 hour books are not really what they say they are, I see them as reference books only.

If you aren't willing to try it out and write your own "hello world" you won't be able to learn anything.

I have done coding of "hello world program" on eclipse software, and also i know pretty well on "control statements in java", what i dont know and dont understand completely is intro of classes, inheritance, multithreading,wrapper classes, commandline arguments and stuff...
Its not that i hate programming or something, but even after reading more than a book, i dont understand many things makes me hate it....
