Currently so far I've done an SEO LSI-Keyword Research box in the post & page sidebar. It's neat to do some quick additional research while you're publishing an article. It's the same as what the 4th function of seopressor does, but their plugin is paid.

Previously we've made a free public version of the paid local SEO plugin by Yoast:

I was thinking about a plugin with some additional Schema options, but there are already great free plugins for that.

Otherwise I have a stock image grabber on my list, saves time selecting free images for your blog post's - images will be directly imported into your Wordpress.

So if you have an idea for something else useful, and it's not something that will take months - let's see what we can do!

This is hot. Free yoast pro open source equivalent? That's great. I've found yoast to be to heavy for just changing title tags.. I'll have to test this out and maybe use it instead of other things. thanks! Hmm to answer you. I do have something in mind, and it would be a plugin of very few lines of code (IMO), but its a very specific requirement. I don't think most of the people would use it, so it does not fall under "useful" criteria as per your requirements.

I'd be interested in the stock image grabber. If you have Skype, hit me up. I'd be willing to share some ideas we've been meaning to develop, but haven't had the chance too yet. This would be awesome!

What would be really awesome would be a plugin that lets you turn off/on short codes by mobile\tablet\desktop. There is already a solution to turn off sidebar widgets but nothing for shortcodes.

What I'm trying to do is turn off sidebar advertising for mobile and vertical tablets (where it all goes to the bottom) and turn on advertising placed inside of the post contents via shortcode when on mobile and vertical tables and visa versa. Would keep the desktop version looking less spammy but still allow for mobile advertising where it would be seen.

What should be analyzed?

As I can't edit the main post, here's one update on what's added to the to-do list:

- Make a standalone plugin or add to the current local SEO one a function for dynamic phone number inseration for local business:

1. For the bots there's always the local number shown, so that you have the consistency of your NAP on your website
2. For visitors you can add your other telephone numbers for tracking purposes

It's Javascript-based, and this code is used by us. We saw improvements in local Places positions after implementing this plugin, as well as fixing extern citiations to match the NAP.

- After that we have the free-stock-image grabber, if nothing else is posted

- What would you be looking for if we're talking about an OnPage SEO Plugin, combined with current traffic?

I had one idea here which is getting the traffic data from Analytics, and impressions from Webmaster tools, as well as keywords the articles is getting traffic for, and shows all that directly besides your posts.

If there's an article which already has an amount of traffic, it gives you ideas for improvement, i.e.:
- Your article has only 350 words, add some more to it
- There's no image for this article, including at least one image
- A keyword is used more than 10 times in this article, avoid over-optimization by removing some
- Add some more related search-phrases to this article to get more long-tail traffic

The implementation could be in two positions:
1. A standalone dashboard with an overview of all articles, and different sorting options. (Most traffic, etc.)
2. On the page/post overview & below when you're editing an specific article

Datasources:
- Analytics & Webmaster Tools
- Any APIs worth looking into? I.e. for position tracking?

What do you think?

Hi,

I've got an idea for a plugin that I've been meaning to code, but is scheduled for sometime next year with my current work. Basically it's a plugin that helps you vary your anchor text in order to help you rank better. It would tie into a related blog posts plugin (ideally YARPP - which is the best IMHO).

Problem: Right now when I use YARPP, it shows related content (visitors find this valuable) but it always uses the same anchor text to link to my pages (which is not terribly SEO valuable). Ideally we should be able to vary the anchors either using spintax or by writing anchor variations and possibly weights.

Solution: When you create a post targeting "Where can I buy red widgets", you have a spot on the post page (this plugin) where you enter anchor variations. In this case, likely variations would be...

- "where can you buy red widgets"
- "where can one purchase red widgets"
- "where can I find red widgets"

All these different anchor texts are 100% related and relevant to your page. If you're smart you've already included them in the on-page data. They are also variations of the keyword phrase you are already targeting, and your customers are searching for. You've given the SE's on page signals for these keyword phrases hopefully.

However, anchor text is an off page signal, even if it is on your own site (aka internal linking). I would like to be able to create some off-page signals for these keywords with a related blog posts plugin (ideally YARPP).

Result: The related blog posts plugin doesn't generate 100 links with the exact same anchor text to your page targeting "Where can I buy red widgets". When it goes to generate the related posts, instead of just taking the title, it randomly selects one of the related anchors you entered. You get some variation for the anchor text, with related keyword phrases. It tells Google to rank you for all 4 of those phrases.

Level: Advanced - allow for weighting and spinning of anchor text. Weighting = 20% anchor phrase one, 80% anchor phrase 2. Since wordpress caches everything including related posts, the anchor text on existing posts won't change (unless you clear cache). However, new posts will reflect any new weighting and hopefully give you some more weight on those keywords in the SERPS. Spinning those phrases would be cool as well. "Where can {you|I} {buy|purchase|find} red widgets" would be sweet. That might screw up the weighting idea above though.

Level: Pro - integrate with YARPP Pro. YARRP Pro lets you pull related content from multiple domains. You have 10 decent sites in the same niche, you can have YARPP interlinking the pages where they are related, all while having finely tuned control over the anchor text.

In a nutshell, any mass automated related posts linking in wordpress is essentially (IMHO) creating a bit of anchor text spam. I'm sure Google controls for this to some degree. But even internally it's not the best idea to run 100% keyword optimized anchor spam.

I need a plugin with which I can change the mirror of all the links on my site.

I use so many links on my site. Monthly I have to change the mirrors of all links , as I some get blocked by anti virus programs. So I m thinking of using a short code on all my posts to get the mirror link. This mirror link can be taken from the Plugin.

So with this in just one step I can change mirrors of all 100's links on my site with just one simple task.

xha44a, definitely an interesting idea - I also have a hard-time with good internal links, and have ended up doing everything manually.
I've noted it down and will start thinking about specific solutions and addititions to it.

The LSI-Keyword researcher comes handy, and could be combined with it.
Unfortunately there isn't an Keyword Planner API as far as I know, unless you manipulate browser behaviour to do it. Though that would be an project on it's own, will need constant updates and is currently scheduled for later.

Will update soon with new informations, meanwhile I'm open for more ideas
