HEy, I would like to rent a harvard email for a couple of hours, just for joining the harvard network on facebook.. anybody?
So you want a harvard mail?
Getting a Harvard e-mail is easy.
First you have to understand that e-mails expire 90 days after graduation, as such, there aren't so many e-mails "left over" around.
The only PERMANENT harvard e-mail is the alumni one - which is actually a FORWARDING service, provided by the Harvard Alumni Association.
I have succesfully done the following, 5 minutes ago, which would have gave me a valid alumni e-mail. I didn't proceed to the last step in fear of legal implications.
You have to understand that doing this, you're not creating a new mail, your stealing someone elses, and hoping he doesn't use it anymore.
Step 1:
Go to the alumni harvard website alumni harvard edu
Step 2:
In the top right, select Register.
Step 3:
click on: "click here if you forgot your user Id or password."
Step 4:
You need three things here: Name, Class Year, Date of Birth.
I used Google and found this guy Kiwi Camara (search wiki for him)
Step 5:
You need to answer mothers maiden name security question, luckily this was an easy question, and it was listed right there on Wiki (Hint: Danao)
Step 6:
That's all, you now need to input a new e-mail (yours) to which you will get a temporary ID. You take that ID and login into the Alumni website, and change everything there. All done.
THERE IS ANOTHER WAY - WHICH DOES NOT INVOLVE STEALING.
Basically, where you clicked "click here if you forgot your password" - before doing that, above that, you can actually register for a new account!
All you need is three things: Name of the person who graduated there and class year. However, this has less chances of working if that specific person created an account before you tried doing this. Sometimes it works, and you get your OWN ACCOUNT. That person will never know about it, and most likely you won't be in a legal situation.
Why I backed down on getting the mail of that Kiwi guy. Because, he runs a website (camara sibley) which as you can see, is a Law Firm. He was a Law Graduate. I'm certainly not stealing from a Harvard Law Graduate, that's for sure.

I'm a h graduate from 2011 and would like to know how much would you pay to permanently own a h email address with your name? I might have a friend willing to lease/sell his - we are talking about permanent email and not a fas.h email which expires after a few years
