I think the most relevant division is the 53% of the Producers and the 47% of the Parasites that vote the life's efforts of those that produce into the pockets of those that do not. What strikes me as most appalling is the complete and utter lack of any shame on the part of the dependent class. They REALLY believe they are entitled to the proceeds of someone else's efforts, and become quite hostile when they are told otherwise.
I don't think those percentages are right, but this is a very good point. There is a class of people in America that believe someone owes them something for having to endure the consequences of their own actions. There is also a class of non citizens who believe the same thing.
Before you go the racism card, there are many more non citizens whom take pride in their self sufficiency, and contribute to society in every way, and I respect them, every one, who do so. It's the deadbeats that are killing us.
True story: After tropical storm Alicia, Houston flooded very badly. Everyone in the neighborhood started cleaning out their homes immediately afterward except one of my neighbors. They simply got a trailer from FEMA, and spent their grant money on tv's and video games. After the whole neighbor hood was fixed, these people still had not even started cleaning their home out, and finally the local churches put together a team of volunteers to help them clean up the place.
So the volunteers showed up they started cleaning up the mess. My neighbors never even came out of the trailer and helped. Never got them a glass of water, not even a trash bag.. They let the volunteers clean out the whole house that had sat there for a year. The sat on their asses in the trailer and did nothing.
The kicker? During the flood the back fence was knocked down, and they kept their 3 dogs in the house while they lived in the trailer, AND THEY NEVER CLEANED UP AFTER THEM. The house was full of what you are thinking it was. The volunteers had to clean it all out.
Some people are leeches. Some politicians are enablers.
Careful now. Texas has many cultures and our economy is doing quite well thank you. Houston is as modern and diverse as any city in the world. Even liberals like it here. For the record. Texas isn't all tumbleweeds, rattlesnakes, rednecks and cactus. We have lush forests, grasslands, wetlands, a fabulous hill country, and the friendliest people on average that I have seen in all my travels.
hahha... i want to.. but .. i feel i am not lucky
I like US, but like places like New York, South Cali, South Florida. Everything else is not worth considering myself to move.
Canada is like USA's attic, we know its there, but no one wants to go there.. lol:AR15firin
Well according to a recent article, canada made it to fifth place for the top 10 happiest countries , USA didnt even make the list . http://travel.yahoo.com/ideas/world...WxhcnRpY2xlcwRwdANzdG9yeXBhZ2U-;_ylv=3?page=5
I think people get confused between a good quality of life and a country that is materialistic/capitalist like USA. USA is ok, but i definitely want to move out of here
Deep down even the haterz still want to come to the USA... lmao :trytofly:
I remember a time online (and I'm going back well over a decade) where people behaved with the kind of respect and decency you would find if you were to meet the collective in person. Wherever you go nowadays - IMDB boards, forums like this, chat rooms - people are such cruel and unpleasant little b*stards. I remember when the internet was a much friendlier place. It's ugly now. And made so by the people in it.
10 years ago the user volume and demographics were totally different and I think that more or less explains the difference.
You assume that your sample is homogeneous in regards to volume.
