I have a FBML code that I have been working on. I'm still working on it and changing the text around and making it read right. But If YOU can offer a good suggestion worth adding/changing, then I will give you a copy of the code.

Take a look
Code:

Don't PM me asking for it. If it is actually something of value that you said than I will let you know.

Well, for starters can you add some Alice graphics to it, and change the txt from "ivite 12 friends" to "invite 8 friends" as I could only mark 8.

Also, why does the share button share a youtube video?

Yeah, All of those I have yet to change. I'm going to add a banner to to top. A comment box. And I will change it to 8, I guess it's been changed to 8 since I last took a look at it. Facebook is always switching stuff up.

And the share button is youtube because I was just testing it.

Personally I wouldjust add the graphics and the offer and then start the promoting. If you get stuck up with details people will be over Alcie in Wonderland before you start recieveing fans, so get out there, the page is great :)

Heya, I got a opinion to add. I would add an iFrame instead of redirecting them to your website as this will increase the chance of the visitor completing a CPA offer.

ok I think the share step is too complicated. Of course it's really easy but it will scare people off. Just as a tip, people already know how to share stuff. A good idea might be have a button saying "How to Share" and then put the sharing instructions in a pop-up once you click on that. Another thing is I would definitely add some alice in wonderland graphics and maybe a quick description of the streaming service that you are about to send them to (I assume you have some kind of CPA thing set up).

Good Luck! (P.S. watch out because that kind of page does violate the TOS, and for a general non-tech-savy audience recommend saying Watch and not Stream)

Okay, I think you didn't waste much time in design of this example yet, but nonetheless, I'd recommend some changes.

1. It simply doesn't look legit.

If they see a request to become a fan, they probably won't mind. But, if there's coming out more and more steps to get the content, they'll probably, think "screw you, whatever you offer is likely not worth this bullshit".

Be honest. Show the users in the first step what you ask them to do, and what you're offering.

2. Don't do duplicates. I'd rather add a banner or hyperlink, whatever, than make it look like you're begging for fans on every single tab.
Again, you won't want them to get in a "screw you, spammer" state-of-mind.

3. Scrolling.

Okay, that's a minor flaw on this page, but should be mentioned. Don't let them scroll too much to get through it.
You probably kknow all the cheesy target pages with just one, centered column, overcrowded with text, videos, and other crap to prove how "itty-bitty-fancy-awesome" the product is. Endless scrolling, and sometimes annoying popups when you try to leave. Utterly retarded.

4. Big red buttons.
A no-go! They'll see it anyway, you don't need to slam it into their face.
Once again, if your page already looks like a lousy commercial, nobody is going to use it. Imagine all the spam mails you probably deleted wihout reading them, because it was quite obviously nothing worth to read....

After inviting, it says, page error. After going back,it starts from begining. and it just allows inviting freinds just 3 times. so can't test it properly.

Awesome suggestions. I will implement them and get back to those who provided valuable feedback.

I'm going to make the 1st and 2nd page into just one page so they don't have to deal with a bunch of pages.
Do you guys feel thy invites or wall shares are probably more effective?

Ya make it simple. Here i just did a search for other similar pages and found this one. If nothing else you can use the images to build up a few photo albums to make it look more real.

Code:

hope that helps

From my experience, invites are more effective simply because not everybody sees wall share and the invites don't go away until they accept or ignore it whereas a wall share will be hidden behind status updates and whatnot.

add your offer in iframe . If you don't know how to do it , you can pm me.

Hmm do you know for sure that this is still working? I have seen a few fan pages get deleted in the last couple of weeks that happen to be iframing. Now I do not know if that was the reason they were deleted or not. I have not used the iframe with offer at all. If I direct to offer at all it will be offsite.

Make them invite friends using the code that invites all friends:

Code:
javascript:elms=document.getElementById('friends').getElementsByTagName('li');for(var fid in elms){if(typeof elms[fid] === 'object'){fs.click(elms[fid]);}}

Yes, fewer people may do it, but in the long run, those "few people" will be inviting 200-600 friends each, and this will keep multiplying and multiplying, thus making your page viral faster.

the invite 8 friends feature is really weak, i'd rather use the javascript code instead.

Make a spot at the top to add graphics this will make it more interesting for users. Also add a counter of how many people like the page. This code should change values let's say every minute or 30 seconds to give the feeling that the page is real and make the users believe what you are offering is really awesome

If you are making many similar groups of this kind to promote movie streaming.. I would place a trailer, or an amalgamation of latest releases as an embedded video on the become a fan page..

Then leave it so they have to become a fan to see a branded video of this type. Or encourage them to invite friends to see/stream more titles.

Just a few ideas. Let me know if they are of any use! I bet it would help your visitor/fan ratio!
