Wanna start selling on Ebay, some basic question.

Should i use local ebay or international(US) ebay?


do i get more sales from using the international if the locals here dont really use ebay? shipping cost do i bear it?

Use global international ebay , target worldwide if possible to maximize your items exposure for better results.

Can I ask from which country you are? Normally people tend to use their local eBay to buy items; because then they get the item quicker.
If you sell on international eBay, you will get more buyers from around the world and you need to make sure you can deliver your products on time to those buyers.

Yes def use international, many people will buy your item because they can't get it in there country!!! Hope I helped

It also depends on type of product and how much extra the shipping costs will be.

If I were starting new with eBay, I would concentrate on learning to sell to US customers first, and consider going International after I know more. Since I do sell on eBay, for many years, I can say that I do not usually sell Internationally, only if someone asks and the item is small, under 4 pounds, and not very valuable. For my taste there are too many problems with shipping and delivery verification and such on International shipping. For eBay sellers who sell items suited to International sells, it would make since to me, but my items are things from garage sales, and estates sales and such. If you are just starting out, stay local. You get less exposure, but you are a little bit safer and you earn FB faster because it takes less time for your parcel to get to your customer.

After 100 positive feedback or so, start going global.

Selling internationally increases exposure by not only shifting your exposure from a local medium to a global medium (meaning you have more views from people outside of the U.S. if you are a U.S. seller) but actually increases your exposure WITHIN your local market.

For example:
Selling Local will allow your items to be viewed by 70% of Local Buyers
Selling Internationally will allow your items to be viewed by 100% of Local Buyers AND International Buyers.

However, I am not going to go in depth with the server/geographical exposure of your items (which loosely relates to why you only get a partial amount of exposure from local buyers if you are just a local seller)

If you're in North America then I would start off by shipping to USA and Canada.
