Luckily to make something like craigslist you don't need any html knowledge AT all

It is a big ask as there is a lot of it - all easy but will take time....

Last time i checked there was a free script in cpanel just like craigslist.

I would look for a script online. There are some really good cheap turn key scripts that you can just buy and customize.
