If muting is not possible, then what might work is if you create the video with no sound to begin with. So in your Howie video, for example, you could let that video play on your own computer while doing a screen capture with no audio, and then upload the no-sound version to YT. I often get no audio anyway when trying to watch YT videos.
And since you're giving it dimensions of 1x1, then no one will even notice that there's a video playing on the page.

Woo hoo a referral. Haha. Thanks I took a post about that myspace spammer here and posted it on my yuwie blog, got like 500+ views from that lol. Yuwier's love death and high speed crashes. Was on the "todays top blogs" widget on yuwies main page on and off yesterday and today.

Then maybe I've misunderstood your method. I was thinking more along the lines of silver's twist, and if you're setting the size of your video to 1x1, then there would be no point in bringing views to it if no one can see it.

the point of this method is to get more views so you rank higher in YT.
EDIT: well this work if your view count is frozen??

Dunno, i wouldnt put more than 100 0 or 1 pixel vids on your page anyways.

What do you mean? I know you cant install adblock plus on the yuwie bots. Yuwie has far less ads with adblock on your own broswer. Or are you talking about captchas? They arent so bad

I've just tried this out through myspace 'ocommunity' i checked the sent messages during peak traffic hours, and the hit rate of most people opening messages is pretty good, not come back with numbers on counts yet until it refreshes, I am just recovering from YouTube freeze at the moemnt - and my view counts are slow, it's not counting everything even legitimate hits properly. There is sound BTW, will report back on what the success rate is like, but it looks pretty easy to get 100 views a day through myspace like this - minus the bonus of being paid

my video is frozen and its not counting anything..I'm going to have to upload a new video to try this method out

Eww i think my views have been frozen D: was at 284 last night and now im at 284 still. I comment spammed a youtube video image and my profile views per day doubled:
