Waiting way too long for my posts to be indexed

Hi BHers,

Some of my posts are now 2 months old and are yet to be indexed by Google.

I've tried submitting the URLs manually via GSC but to no avail. I've tried this 4 days ago and still nothing, now it looks like the GSC allows me to submit the URL again as it hasn't been indexed yet. Should I?

It's not a new website, I've been building it for 20 months now and enjoying month-to-month growth in terms of traffic and sales.

But this pisses me off as fuck. As things stand, I'm waiting for 20 articles to be seen in Google search results.

What else can I do to speed up the process? And what's the cause?

Let me stress that during this 2-month period, some other articles that have been added are already visible.

no one knows. There are some speculations that google's servers are running out of space, but I don't know how much space indexing takes. So it's just speculations, like I said. If anyone has proof of this come here and prove me wrong, please!

My opinion (also a speculation) is that google....

1) is either short-staffed due to covid reasons (not sure how much this impacts the indexing which is supposed to be automatic, but I throw it in here, just in case), or
2) they've reached a point where they don't know how to combat spammers, affiliates, and SEOers anymore so they simply refuse to index most of the links, en-masse, no matter to whom they belong. The big, authority sites (like this forum for example), still get indexed within seconds, but smaller and newer sites not so much.

I know that I didn't answer your questions, but the truth of the matter is that I haven't got a clue what's going on with the indexing. I just wrote this message to bump your thread up so that real experts can see it and (hopefully) clue us all in :)

You must have done something wrong.

My last site got indexed in 2-3 days.

And all the other sites I made more or less in the same timeframe.
 
Try Rankmath Instant Indexing if you haven't already
 
What hosting are you using? If it is a cheap one then that might cause an issue
 
Do you have any good links going to your website at all? IE do you have enough authority built up? on newer sites or lower end sites with low authority it seems to be a pain in the ass. Google used to eat up everything but for a while now if the content is new on a newer site(lower authority) and is similar to what is already in thier cache they dont seem to pick it up like they used to.

Just my 2cents from what i have noticed working on younger websites.

TLDR:
1. Quality Backlinks (2 - 3 will do - Niche Relevant & Powerful Links).
2. Quality Unique Content Per Page.
3. New Sites take longer to index all pages even with the above criteria being met, expect 14 days total for the entire site in most cases).

From my own experience, it can take between 3 to 7 days for your pages to "start" to get indexed when launching a new website.

New websites have a "Crawl Budget" which basically means the frequency of which spiders will come and index/update unique pages.

It is also highly advised that you send a couple of QUALITY links to your website, even just social profiles will do such as Twitter and Facebook.

Backlinks from high-quality sources will always result in fast indexing if these referring sites have a high crawl budget and are crawled hourly / daily.

The last thing I will mention is this: If your webpages are similar (Template Style) with minimal unique content, the spiders will index only 1 of those pages which it determines to be the main page. I have recently experienced this same issue. Adding just 500 unique words 100% on the topic to the page resulted in that page being indexed 24 hours later. I repeated the same thing on another page and received the same results confirming my findings.

Quality backlinks.

I have a DR 43 site with strong backlinks and only post a new article once a month and they index in a couple of days.

One thing you can do is publish all posts at the same time, but it's too late for you. I saw this trick in one of my journey discussions. It seems on the first crawl google takes any sh!t thrown at it.
 
Answer a few questions and I might be able to help you.
  1. Did you submit a sitemap in GSC?
  2. Did you submit a post 4-5 times over several days in GSC manual URL inspection?
  3. Did you check if your site has any manual actions or security issues?
  4. Did you check if your old posts show up when checked with "site:domain.com" on Google?

Some people here are just punching the air with some S answers, matter of fact google is not that stupid, those links that are not indexed are too much optimized for the Kw you targeting/trying to rank, so Googe thinks you are writing for Google to rank that Kw and not for people, try to NOT optimize those articles too muchh and re-submit

Seems like Google had problems in discovering new content. As you've submitted the sitemap, the new posts should be automatically crawled and indexed. Google usually indexes within 3-7 days if you manually submit links. You can try submitting a single post once or twice daily to improve indexing speed.
 
I will report back in a week if something has changed.

I can vouch on this. The posts I had on my site got indexed from the first crawl. The posts published after that never did.

So just post everything all at once, preferably the same day. But if you want to stay dedicated to it, I'd recommend getting very powerful links and building authority.

Also, getting traffic to the website from SM, whether it's ads or not, can help get things rolling quicker.
