is it true that if i sell something i need to wait for 21 days or the positive feedback to get the payment?

If you haven't been selling in a while, I would guess that that is going to be the case for you. It happened to me, but the hold was only applied to the first few items I sold, and after that it went away.

i feel like selling a few high priced electronics away from my new account but seems like the hold is turning me off..grr.:(

and also i heard that paypal will also limit your account if you suddenly have lots of money in your paypal account right?

It's a potential nightmare tbh, you're giving someone 3 weeks to decide that they don't want your item because it arrived 'broken' (that means they dropped it 12 days after they received it) and they can file a chargeback at any time in those 3 weeks. eBay are stitching this up slowly but surely but they're pissing a lot of people off. I got an email from someone, who knows these things, saying that Amazon are fast catching eBay in the UK, they're far easier to deal with and don't fuck about with your payments for no reason.

Actually it is rare that the hold will last the full 21 days. I sell alot thru ebay and I'm seeing the hold lift about 3 days after the the package arrives at it's destination. But you must print your shipping labels thru Paypal or upload your tracking numbers into Paypal so that they know when the package arrived.

The hold is a pain but not too bad once you get used to it.

If you ship quickly it won't take as long, but sometimes you have to literally CALL paypal to get them to lift the hold early. It's not always on expensive items either. I have had holds on $60 items before.
