Ok so how important is W3C validation in google eyes? There is a competitor of mine who opened up shop less than a month ago who is #4 with 0 backlinks and around 500 words TOTAL. He has 0 W3C errors.

My site has been up for around 2 months now, 100 backlinks or so, couple thousand words, multiple pages/posts etc. My site can BARELY break the top 20 if that. I have 28 W3C validation errors.

Have I just answered my own question?

If so who can help me fix these? I don't know the first thing about fixing these errors.

PM me, most likely they are not anything hard to fix. I just need more info to see whats up.

There maybe other reasons as well, but I can probably help you with that as well.

I was wondering this myself and apparantly having valid xhtml has no bearing on your ranking at all, i thought for sure it would though.

    cheers
