W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? which one would you choose and why?

Hi Everyone!

I have been using WP Super Cache for a while but my site is becoming a bit slow when loading up. So I would like to get peoples experience on WP.

which one would you choose W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? and most importantly, why?

Obviously, I would like a fast caching engine for WordPress that produces static html files while improving site performance and user experience via caching: browser, page, object, database, minify and content delivery network support.

From what I've noticed, most people use W3 Total Cache.

Up until recently Ive only used Super cache.. but Im not happy with the load times in two recent installs so im going to try total cache on them and i'll let you know if theres an improvement

for large WP sites (30.000+ pages) on hostgator VPS WP Super Cache is best solution for me

W3 Total Cache is the way to go.

Got tons of problems using total cache, it's incompatible with some plugins so i am using quick cache right now.

Currently I'm using Quick cache and its the best for me

Hi guys!

Thanks a lot for sharing, i have removed WP super cache and replaced it with W3 Total Cache. It looks marginally better but not what I was expecting. It might be the case that my type of account I have with my hosting provider is not that great.

I will be reviewing it in the coming weeks and sharing it here with you guys. It would be great if you could sharing your feedback

Dittos - using Quick cache now, too and loving it. Hassle free, which I really need! Had trouble with the other two.

I would certainly never use WP Super Cache anymore.

Lots of settings, could never get it to work optimally on my hosting (only half-cache mode), and there was a time when I couldn't delete the plugin because the deletion process caused errors.

I go with Hyper Cache these days. It's delightfully simple to use (you just turn it on) and, as far as I can see, does a really good job!

I also used to use DB Cache Reloaded in conjunction with Hyper Cache. But DB Cache Reloaded is not longer updated and got broken when WP updated. Even the DB Cache Reloaded Fix gave me some trouble.

So I ditched it and am on Hyper Cache only.
