Dear Customer,

We would like to provide a direct update on the current situation in Kyiv.

As a result of the recent attack, both data centers in Kyiv where our infrastructure is located were directly hit.

Based on the information currently available to us, most servers inside the data halls have survived. However, we do not yet have physical access to the facilities and therefore cannot retrieve or relocate the equipment.

Our team is in continuous contact with the data center personnel and is closely monitoring the situation. As soon as access becomes possible and we receive verified information about the infrastructure's condition and next recovery steps, we will update you immediately.

We understand how critical this situation is for your operations and will keep you informed as developments occur.

I'm asking for those in the same situation where will you move your server ? Any recommends for DMCA ignored hosting would be great

Did you receive this letter today or yesterday/day before yesterday?
I am in the same boat - my host don't provide much info, but they are a reseller/partner of VSYS services.

Not sure at the moment where to move after this, still hoping to get the data back stored on those servers.

That's a serious reminder to keep off-site backups and a tested migration plan. I'd choose a provider in a different region and restore a small test server before moving everything.
This is great advice that we all should adhere too. Ensure you have back-ups and redundancies in place as ANYTHING can happen (remember when UrDN got raided by law enforcement, that caught a lot of people off-guard - including myself!).

Would I would also caveat this with as well, is that V-SYS has been more cooperative (or compliant - whichever is most appropriate...) with LEA and others recently and I would factor this into any future judgement calls with regards to this provider going forwards. Always discuss with your host in advance what your business interests are and if there's any hesitation or concern from their side, just politely walk away and go elsewhere.

Regarding what's happened to the datacenter where they're colocated, I've heard that they're migrating some customers to NL VPS' while the Ukrainian infrastructure is unavailable (not received this myself yet, but not chasing either to be honest...), but would likely look elsewhere as this doesn't appear to be short term fix.

Good luck everybody.

Yes unfortunately the situation is not getting any better.

I assume they may be looking for another location for their physical servers.

Depending on what the case is with your hosting, I'd look into some Netherlands options for example.
