If you are running scrape box , u know that doing big runs can take days. and getting those AAA (actual auto aprove) lists with 90% found links can take weeks. So get a VPS! and buy a second license for SB

Run one instance on your VPS and a second on your normal OS

You can be Scraping and Posting all day long

Let GOOGLE know whos bauwse!!

:1: since i got my VPS my link building increase 10 fold, my site went from not in the top 1000 to #32 it is now at #23 and im currently scraping .edu and .gov to build some nice AAA lists to keep my link building not one sided....anyways, hope this helps some peeps out there. specially the newbs....wait im still a newb according to BHW...maybe a mod can change that?.....peace

I'd be careful with doing that on a VPS. You can't just rape all the CPU on a VPS. You're sharing it with others. :-)

Check your CPU usage. If you're under 20% you should be ok, but even so I'd recommend getting a full dedi so you have all the resources to yourself.

cpu usage is 5% :D

A lot of the VPS companies allow you to use all of the CPU if it's dedicated to you. If they are running OpenVZ, they usually don't prefer you go over. They can always change the CPU speed, so that they can put two VM's on 4 CPU's, each having 4 virtual CPU's.

I don't think many companies will really limit you. :P If you're running shared hosting, then that is much different. Then they can throttle usage and kick you from using too much resources.

Keep doing what you're doing. Eventually, when you are bringing enough income in invest in a multi core dedi server and start firing out blasts. You'll see your income skyrocket (as well as your rank). Good luck

i have a good line of communication with my vps host, i speak with him often, and i am the only one on my vps, no one is sharing yet :D

Even so, it's easy to limit the CPU to each user.

You want to know an even cooler trick?

Highlight your ScrapeBox folder... right click and select COPY
Then right click near your ScrapeBox folder... select PASTE.

Open both ScrapeBox instances on your VPS and use your home network for porn like a true American.

No way ScrapeBox is using up all your bandwidth on your VPS. Run however many instances it takes to do that.... With a single license.

hahahaha hmmmm sounds like i could seriously do some damage with that trick! my brain might explode though :D thanks given

It is really all depending on the virtualization platform of VPS.
If you know how to virtualize the shole server then client would be able to use ONLY the percent of his own VPS. It will not affect other customers and especially if you use hyper-v. HyperV handle this much better than any other platform and that's why nobody almost use it but mostly they use openVZ where you can also oversell.

Yes, this is true. It's a good idea to check with the VPS provider about high CPU usage to find out the policy anyway.

now days most vps providers state how much cpu comes with the plan and you can monitor it on the server which you should be doing to make sure your current plan has the resources you need to remain efficient. mine even offers more cpu cores for each plan tier. then once you hit the vps plan cap it's time to bounce to a ded and have it all to yourself

Sounds like you have found the benefit of having VPS vs your home connection ;) Average home connection 5Mbps vs 1000Mbps (1Gbps) on a good VPS.

im not sure if anyone one of you can maybe help me with an issue im having......my vps was working fine untill my scrapebox crashed in the middle of poosting to 200K urls. i have never had a crash on scrapebox like this, only on my vps. i get an error

"access violation at adress 00ABF414 in module "scrapebox.exe" Read of adress 00000000."

then scrapebox closes and i loose all my progress on the posts and all the succesfully posted.

my host sais that im running out of memory.....but i was runing SB just fine for 2 weeks, now all of a sudden hes saying i need more ram and need to pay more money......

is he right? or is he just trying to upsell me?

I had same problem once with SB when i let this run for may hours. IMO it is not your hosting company problem but how SB handle the ram of your VPS. FYI I am running SB on 24GB ram Dedi

SO are u saying i need to adjust my SB to how much RAM i have?....if so which settings need to be tweaked?

I've been blasting for the last 50 hours on my own pc.. I'd contact the SB team and ask.

There is a plugin called "Crash Dump Logger" in Scrapebox, it comes quite handy when you get such errors! Its logs your progress when commenting, in case of a crash you can retrieve the successful posted urls! ;)
Btw which VPS service are you using?

I actually don't see the point. My cpu is at 2% quad core 4*2.2 GhZ with 4GB DDR2 Ram. Network works well while scraping. The only thing I would need is an option to increase scraping from 500 connections to 1000!
