VPS + YouTube

Is there a way I can use my VPS to upload YouTube videos? I live in South Africa where the connection speeds are low and we are only allowed about 3GB of data transfer a month.

The following are the stats of my current VPS:
Disk Space: 10GB
Data Transfer: 50GB
RAM: 256MB
Burstable: 512MB
Operating System: CentOS

Assuming the VPS is powerful enough (256MB RAM does sound a bit weak), I'm guessing I would need to install Windows XP instead of CentOS in order to turn it into a YouTube spamming platform. Would I be able to control the VPS like I would a normal computer installing tools such as TubeToolbox etc? Would I need a proxy solution? How would this affect the website currently hosted on the VPS?

Uploading youtube videos takes quite a bit of bandwidth. Also, you need to transfer your video files to your VPS first and that also takes some of your bandwidth.

Couldn't I just download the video files to the VPS remotely, watermark them and upload them again?

You could. I use windows dedicated server for that, but VPS will do the job too. The only problem is that hosting company might suspend VPS if you use CPU too much (converting likes to eat 100% CPU).

You can get a cheap windows dedicated server from webhostingtalk.com forums (there are various special offers). VPS too. Windows 2003 server is fine.

get a cheap Windows remote desktop. 512MB-1GB RAM recommended. Other configs would probably be sufficient. Then simply log into the RDA and you can use it like your normal windows PC. Install whatever softs u need to get the job done, downloader, converter, watermarker... and then upload it back.
