Sorry if it comes off as a dumb question.
I've been doing IM for quite a while but have recently dabbled into all the fascinating programs. And i read alot of people installing these programs on virtual machines.
Does vps use my computer's own hardware and ram to run? Is it just like a seperate compartment to safely run softwares?
Or is it really like a "virtual computer" that i can access using other computers than my own? and can keep running my IM programs even though I'm logged out etc etc?
