VPS Trial+SMTP server+emai list+squeeze page? Thoughts?

I'm on very low budget,so i'm searching in free methods of making money/subscribers.

I was thinking about 100 yahoo accounts+100 proxies,but i'm not sure in it's effectiveness.
What do you think about trial VPS for 14-30 days+SMTP server and some bulk mailing software.Plus trial getresponse/aweber.
Is this an ultimate free method of making quick cash/subscribers?

Mass mailing is a tough biz to get into, mainly because it's the oldest method. Unless you have something truly special to sell, I would rather go to the making money section here and search for other methods.

I dont want to sell,i want to provide a giveaway and get people to my list.All i need is low cost and good inbox rate.
So VPS and SMTP will do the trick?
