Hi,
I am in the process of setting up several VPS elite proxy servers running Ubuntu. They are meant to contact users in different cities classified sites via email. Likely no more than 50 / city / day. Its not blind spam, but also not completely solicited.
While asking one VPS for a quote they made a point of stating that they have a strict no spam policy and that there could be a $20 USD fine per complaint.
I am very new to all of this and was wondering:
Thanks!

- Should I be worried ?
- Do they really care, or is this more a case of covering their own asses.
- If I have full root access to the VPS, can they monitor where the emails and such are going? (I assume they can).
- Anyone have any experience with a VPS host terminating their service / trying to have the fines enforced?
Thanks!
