All we want right now in this world is a vps server. Can contabo solve my problem? Any vps host is fine. But my subscription expired. And my website, automation tools, n8n workflows are also down.

Ain't just renew your subscription? or get new vps on popular provider like ovh, hostinger, etc

None.
I used contabo a few years ago can’t really remember any problems
There is no problem whatsoever. That's why you are with them

Contabo VPS for life. Will be patient to raise funds and revive the subscription.

Are you looking for Anonymous or just stable Server?

Register in oracle cloud and choose the free tier. Then choose a resource with “always free” tag on it. It is not much, but should be fine for what you are trying to do. Please do some more research on this (google something like oracle cloud free vps).

ps, they might ask for your cc, but if you registered for the free tier, they should not bill you. The max that would happen is you will lose the server after their trial plan. You can still add another “free server” if and when that happens.

Are you still looking for vps servers?
If yes, which location do you need?

basically everyone uses ovh, but prices there are high
there are smaller providers too, like godlike - pretty decent option
contabo works if you're on a tight budget, but stability, performance, and support are worse

if you need to get back online fast just grab a vps with instant deploy
install docker right away restore your n8n and stack from backups if you have them
you can be up and running in about an hour

contabo is super tempting because of the crazy specs for the price but honestly i would avoid them for n8n and automation workflows tbh. they are notorious for aggressively overselling their nodes so you get hit with massive cpu steal and heavily throttled disk iops, which will literally choke your n8n database and cause your webhooks to randomly time out. if you are on a tight budget just go grab a cheap cloud instance from hetzner or vultr instead, their entry level servers are still dirt cheap but the performance is actually stable and won't randomly kill your production automations.

For US-based VPS there are several solid options depending on what you need it for.

Hetzner has US locations now (Ashburn VA and Hillsboro OR) with very competitive pricing — around $5-10/month for decent specs. Their network is excellent and they don't oversell resources like some budget providers do. The catch is they're strict about what you run, no spammy stuff.

OVH is another strong choice with multiple US datacenters. Slightly more expensive than Hetzner but they have a wider range of plans and their DDoS protection is included by default. Good for anything that might attract unwanted attention.

Vultr has 15+ US locations which is great if you need specific geographic distribution or low latency to a particular region. Their hourly billing is useful for testing before committing monthly. Pricing is fair and setup is instant.

BuyVM is underrated for the price — they offer storage VPS options that most providers don't, great if you need lots of disk space on a budget.

Avoid DigitalOcean for anything network intensive — their IP ranges are on multiple blacklists because of heavy abuse, and you'll spend weeks cleaning up before you can do anything serious. Same issue with some of the cheaper LowEndBox providers.

What are you planning to run on it? The best choice really depends on the use case — web hosting, mail, gaming, automation, etc each have different optimal providers.
