VPS question please help

    Im about to get a vps from hostamus, but my internet connection with telus is only 15mbps . my question is , will my connection be slower on my vps based on my inernet connection speed (15mbps)?


    will it be worth it to get a vps with that slow of a connection? or will my vps boost that speed up?

    sorry newb question....

    A VPS won`t speed up your internet connection but if it is a decent one it will make any websites that you host on it load faster in peoples browser

    Your VPS is a server that uses its own connection, not your computer's internet connection

    You're purchasing a product from an enterprise that stores many servers in a data center. I assure you, the speed will be faster than your home connection.

    Running software on your VPS and trying to host sites will bog things down.

    I'd suggest getting a managed VPS if you have these kinds of questions.
