Hey everyone,

as Socialdaddy and I are now ending our test phase and start the first 500-batch I need the fitting Server for our Jarvee/GMT2.
Now I wonder on what machine I should put it.

As far as I know (which is only a little) it is like this:

VPS uses vCores - which depend on the other customers of the providers using them, sometimes your have more of your "booked ram", sometimes you have less

Root Server are dedicated servers for me with actual cores which are only used for me

Which one should I use and why?
And why theck heck ist a root server only a third of the price of a vps, where is the hole I cannot see and am about to fall in?

Our setup will be:
Windows 10 Professional x64 (as recommended from the Jarvee Devs)
64 GB Ram

Thanks for your help in advance

Sorry that is of no help as it does not explain anything and does not even slightly cover what I need to know.
Besides what kind of crappy page is this lowendbox. Not browsable at all and does not support what i need

I advice u go with windows server editions like 2012/16. Windows 10 will take more cpu&ram for the graphics and other services which server editions wont take. So u dont waste any system resources on which u dont need.

If u going with 500 accounts, i suggest go with root server/dedicated server, specially with jarvee. Jarvee need more ram and cpu if u use EB.

Thank you for that answer, that was perfectly helpful! :)

Yeah it is the same with us, but now I am fed up with it.
As soon as I got my 2008 Licence (I bought a Win 10 first but not want to try Server 2008) i will set it up, hopefully tomorrow.
I will keep this thread updated then :)
