I need something where I can have clients connect to either my vps or dedicated server (Probably

would have to be dedicated server) and have their own IP and maybe about 250mb of ram. I just

need them to be able to connect to their own section to play a game. Would this be possible from

a dedicated server. I'm pretty sure it is, but will I have to get anything special to split the

server and they each get their own section?

If anyone could please help please let me know. Willing to click on affiliate link if can help out

or if you have a hosting company I will strongly consider your service.

Are you looking for Windows server? If yes then you would need Windows licenses - the cheapest would be ThrustVPS here with their Windows servers.
If you are good with linux - go with Kimsufi or SoYouStart. Nothing beats their prices.
 
I am not sure about vps
but if you wanna allot each user with 250mb of ram then you can do this by creating vps from dedicated server
separate vps for every user with predefined configuration
user can connect to his vps to play the game
 
Yeah you could use Vmware PLayer to setup a vps for each of your player. That might be cheaper than buying an individual vps

@pavan, Thanks for the reply, Yeah thats basically exactly what I was trying to say lol. Would I have to put a operating system on each of the vps created? Not sure if you know, but if you did that would be great. Also would a dedicated server be able to have 100 differnt ip's

Yes
each vps will require a OS and each user can use a different OS
but don't worry because OS installation is easy through control panel
Just one click and the OS will be installed

Yes you can even have more than 100 IPs but each IP will cost you around 1$ per month

OP contact with darkvps.com support team and if they can do this for you, buy a dedicated server from them and they'll split it into vps for you.

@pavan Thank you, I will more than likely have more questions to ask soon. To bad I would have to install an OS on each vps that would kill up alot of memory, but o well...
